Trefoil Guild is an adult-only group within Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada for women over the age of 30.
Most Guild Members have been Members of Guiding in a variety of roles for many years and join the Trefoil Guild to keep in touch with the organization and with each other. Guilds are open to women who have not been in the organization before but who are willing to be enrolled as Guides.
Keep the Spirit of Guiding Alive!
Provide Members with opportunities for fellowship, learning and fun.
Use the Girl Guide training and experience that exist among their members to give service to Guiding and the community, as they are able.
There is no specific Trefoil Guild program. Each Guild may decide how formally or casually it will operate, but it must comply with the current policies and practices of Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada. These are found in Policy, Organization and Rules.
Guilds meet when and as often as they wish – during the day or evening, weekdays or weekends; some meet monthly, others less frequently. Guild activities are as varied and different as the Guilds themselves. Activities might include:
- visiting places of interest in their communities – museums, places of worship, municipal/provincial/territorial/national buildings & parks
- attending theatres and concerts
- hearing lifestyle speakers and engaging in physical activities
- enjoying social activities within their own Guild or with other Guilds in the Area or Province/Territory
- participating in local, Provincial/Territorial and National Guiding activities and events
